Man United have reportedly agreed a deal with Alvaro Morata”

As revealed by The Independent, United are hoping to bring Morata in for a medical this week after productive talks with Real Madrid took place over the weekend.

According to the Spanish newspaper MARCA, Morata has already told the club that he would like to leave the Spanish capital in the summer.

The 24-year-old's representative Juanma Lopez said the Spain worldwide is keen to secure regular first-team football after struggling to dislodge Karim Benzema as Zinedine Zidane's first choice striker in Madrid.

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos insists that the future of club and worldwide teammate, Alvaro Morata is yet unclear, as there have been talks of the 24-year-old leaving Real Madrid this summer to join Manchester United in a £60m move. Now, the Red Devils have to negotiate with Real Madrid, because the Spanish club is not willing to sell the striker.

Morata has been heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester United in recent days although there is yet to be any official confirmation about the proposed move.

Former Real Madrid boss Mourinho gave Morata his Los Blancos debut in 2010.

Morata scored 20 goals in all competitions for Real last season, as the club clinched La Liga and the Champions League.

The 24-year-old is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United are said to be close to taking advantage of the situation and are now favourites to sign the 24-year-old striker from Real Madrid.

It seems likely the two clubs will meet somewhere in between though huge transfer fees pose little problem to United, as it proved last summer by sanctioning a world-record deal for Paul Pogba.

Morata fuelled speculation he could be set to join United by "liking" an Instagram post reporting the link on Sunday, with Juanma Lopez acknowledging the Old Trafford option is intriguing for his client.
