Bill Cosby's attorney says he is worried about entertainer's health

Cosby broke barriers as the first black actor to star in a network show, "I Spy", in the 1960s and created the top-ranked "Cosby Show" two decades later, starring as kindly Dr. Cliff Huxtable.

"Mr. Cosby's power is back". He then sat back down.

Jurors returned to court on Saturday after more than 50 hours of deliberations, telling the judge that they remained "hopelessly deadlocked" on all counts with no expectation that a verdict could be reached by further deliberations.

Allred said she was proud of the women who testified in court, one of whom was her client Kelly Johnson.

Allred told CTV News Channel she thought the prosecution did a good job and is pleased that the district attorney has made a decision to retry the case.

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby departs after a judge declared a mistrial in his sexual assault trial at the weekend.

Linda Fairstein, former head of the sex crimes unit with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, agreed that retrials are usually better for the defense.

Legal experts had always warned that the "he said, she said" nature of the case was going to be hard to prove in court, not least because it happened so long ago and lacked physical evidence.

"How do I describe the judge?" She issued a statement calling District Attorney Kevin Steele "heinously and exploitively ambitious".

Constand, now 44, initially went to police about a year after she said Cosby assaulted her, but a prosecutor declared her case too weak to bring charges.

"If Mr. Cosby asks me and he wants me to go to back and do battle for him again, then I'll be there".

A judge in Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial has declared a mistrial.

But it was his reputation as a public moralist who urged young people to pull up their saggy trousers and start acting responsibly that prompted a federal judge to unseal portions of an explosive deposition he gave more than a decade ago as part of Constand's civil lawsuit against him.

Despite dozens of women going public with accusations of sexual assault, Constand's case was the only one to result in criminal charges, although a number of civil lawsuits are still pending. A subsequent investigation found insufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges against Cosby. I am grateful to any of the jurors who tenaciously fought to review the evidence, which is the rightful way to make a sound decision.

A jury deliberated longer in the #Cosby Case!

He says he'll retry Cosby on charges the 79-year-old TV star drugged and molested Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia-area home in 2004. O'Neill instructed them to keep working toward a unanimous decision. "Constand's case was the exception".

Lawyer Gloria Allred, who represents some of the women who have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, said outside of the courthouse that "round two may be just around the corner, and this time, justice may prevail". "As a very special friend once stated, 'Truth can be subdued, but not destroyed.'" Camille Cosby also thanked her husband's lawyers, other staff members, family and friends for their support.

Less than 48 hours later, the panel informed the judge that they were still deadlocked on all three counts.
