Pakistan's Hasan living Champions Trophy 'dream'

The head-to-head of India vs Pakistan matches at the Champions Trophy is tied at two apiece.

Mehboob Hasan, a maternal uncle of Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, has announced his support to Team India for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final due to be played at Oval Stadium in England tomorrow (Sunday).

Regardless of all this, if India can play to its strength, neither the skill nor the luck of Pakistan can challenge it, which is arguably the most dominating ODI side in the world.

"It is a big match".

In just his fourth match at this level the 27-year-old Fakhar - who had already posted two ODI fifties - completed a 92-ball hundred including two sixes when he swept Ashwin for his 12th four. "I think it will be a close match", said another.

"We've made an effort not to speak about the match against Pakistan in a different way".

Kohli announced to the press during the week that he had limited the use of social media within the camp during the competition, yet the internet is set to implode when these two sides collide in a much-anticipated contest set to raise the temperature further on one of the hottest days of the English summer. Unaffected by Ali's dismissal, Zaman maintained Pakistan's run rate and kept targetting Indian bowlers. "India have a very good batting line-up and if they put up a big total, it will bring pressure on us".

What had he learnt leading India for the first time in a global tournament, Kohli was asked.

It was a third consecutive score of 50-plus for the left-hander, who didn't feature in Pakistan's tournament opener against India but has been a revelation at the top of the order since. "I think Virat is really doing well and India will win", said a fan from Vadodara. Harbhajan Singh, Uthappa and Sehwag hit the bull's eye to give India a 3-0 win in the tied match.

Zaman (114, 106b, 12x4, 3x6) would end his innings by scoring 111 more runs after he was given the gift by Bumrah and Pakistan had a tremendous launchpad to bat India out of the game.

He was reprieved on three, caught behind off a Bumrah no-ball, and went on to carve, slice and belt his way to a 92-ball century.

One of the most unpredictable sides in world sport, Pakistan were the lowest-ranked side going into the tournament and produced a shambolic performance in their heavy opening defeat by India.

· Pakistan have reached a Champions Trophy final for the very first time; they knocked out England in Cardiff by a margin of eight wickets to get there.

If India manage to clinch the victory at the Oval today, they will become the first team to win the Trophy three times and join Australia as the second team to defend the title.
