1 man dies at electronic music concert in Vegas”

SIRIUSXM will be the exclusive broadcaster of various INSOMNIAC music festivals, including a three-day broadcast live from the ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL (EDC) in LAS VEGAS, starting tomorrow (JUNE 16th) at 8p (PT) on ELECTRIC AREA.

Almost 1,100 people sought medical help during the three days of the largest music festival in North America, which began Friday evening at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, southern Nevada officials said.

The broadcast from EDC Las Vegas will include performances by Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, Andrew Rayel, Axwell/\Ingrosso, Autograf, Dillon Francis, Duke Dumont, Galantis, Ghastly, Kygo, Illenium, Jauz, Lost Frequencies, Louis The Child, Marshmello, Martin Solveig, NGHTMRE, Oliver Heldens, Slushii, Tiësto, Valentino Khan, W&W, Zedd, and many more.

The deceased was identified as 34-year-old Michael Adam Morse, according to an official who asked that we credit the office for this information. His hometown was not immediately known, and the cause of death was under investigation.

Most were treated at the site but 15 ticket-holders and one employee were taken to hospitals.

Residents of the resort city will also face difficulty in navigating through the streets of Las Vegas from Friday night to Monday morning since the city will serve as a hotspot for music lovers across the nation.

Police did not provide details on the reasons why people sought treatment.

An excessive heat warning issued by the National Weather Service is in effect for the next seven days, as temperatures are expected to hit as high as 117 degrees.

At the 135,000 person gathering, police and festival security also recorded over 95 felony arrests and the removal of almost 300 attendees.

There were 87 people removed from EDC's final night for a total of 282 ejections for the weekend, according to Insomniac Productions, the Los Angeles-based company that owns and operates EDC.
