Amazon adds 20 new Dash buttons to its United Kingdom range

Amazon adds 20 new Dash buttons to its United Kingdom range”

Amazon is extending its Dash button range in the United Kingdom - the WiFi-connected buttons which automatically order household products from the online retail giant.

There are now more than 65 buttons with new brands such as Heineken, Duracell, Mr. Muscle and Tassimo joining the ranks.

"Customers love the convenience of Dash buttons - feedback has been hugely positive, and we also heard loud and clear that customers wanted more brands and more products across more retail categories", Amazon services vice president Jorrit Van der Meulen said.

Full list: Aquarian, Dad's Root Beer, Duracell, Eukanuba, Glade, Heineken, Hycell, IAMS, Joseph Joseph, Kiwi, L'Or, Mentos, Mr. Muscle, Perfect Fit, Perfectil, Regina, Scott, Tassimo, Wellman, Wellwoman.

Dash Buttons launched in the United Kingdom a year ago, with a number of products already proving their worth.

We're unsure about quite how useful these new virtual Dash buttons will be in practice, as they seem to be a simple streamlining of Amazon's all ready super easy 1-Click ordering, however it's hard to argue about added functionality for, if you're a Prime member of course, free.

The buttons, which come with reusable adhesive and removable hook to enable use anywhere around the house, are linked to the Amazon shopping app and orders are made through an Amazon account.

The online retail giant, who last week acquired USA supermarket chain Whole Foods, also revealed data on Dash button use in the UK. Toilet paper is the most popular Dash button to date, no doubt pleasing Andrex, with Finish dishwasher tablets and Ariel washing capsules coming in second and third.
