This Is The Moment Firefighters First Saw The Grenfell Tower Blaze”

"She tried to keep it on the low but I shouted "Adele!' and she said 'No, it's not me".

Adele continues to be a breath of fresh air following the heartbreaking Grenfell Tower fire on Wednesday June 14, taking the time out to sit with some of the heroic firefighters that fled to the scene.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but it has been widely claimed the fire spread after the building was covered in cladding which was not fire resistant. "We would assume that the outside of the building would not be compromised". Maria Nashwa's brother, who is disabled, was on the 20th floor.

This included a recommendation that it be split into two parts, one looking at the tragedy itself and one looking at what happens in the future.

The visit came after Adele visited the scene of the tower block following the blaze.

The firefighters told residents that they extinguished the flames in the appliance before spotting the spreading conflagration from the outside, the BBC reported. There's no way we could make it to the 23rd and back (down) to the bridgehead.

The firefighter added: "Can I accept/live with the thought that saving two lives is better than taking the risk to go up and potentially saving no one?"

On Sunday, Chancellor Philip Hammond criticised the way the election campaign had been run and sidestepped questions over how long the PM would remain in power, saying: "Theresa is leading the Government and I think the Government needs to get on with its job".

Among the survivors were a gay couple who had a miracle exit.

Cundy became visibly upset as he described conditions in the charred Grenfell Tower, where a search and recovery operation is expected to last weeks.

The death toll from the Grenfell Tower tragedy rose to 79, police said, as the nation stopped to remember those killed in the fire.

Scotland Yard have also announced that residents Ya-Haddy Sisi Saye, also known as Khadija Saye, 24, Abufars Ibrahim, 39, and Anthony Disson, 65, are among the victims.
