Bombings at market in Pakistan kill 15

Bombings at market in Pakistan kill 15”

The suicide bomber blew up his explosives-laden vehicle near Inspector General of Police Ehsan Mehboob's office in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, killing at least 13 people, including seven policemen, and wounding 21 others.

Emergency has been declared in all hospitals in the city, said local officials.

Earlier this year in March, a auto bomb blast outside an imambargah located in a busy Parachinar market claimed the lives of 24 people and left 90 others injured.

At least 18 people were killed and almost 100 others injured in twin explosions that went off in Pakistan's northwestern town of Parachinar bordering Afghanistan, according to Associated Press.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attacks, saying that terrorists involved in the attacks will be taken to task and all out efforts will be taken to eliminate terrorism.

Hours after the attack, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a breakaway faction of the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility.

"Till now at least 15 people have been confirmed killed in the attack as it is a very busy area", said Shahid Turi, a local lawmaker from the area.

Pakistan bleeds again as suicide bomb blasts in Quetta and in Parachinar killed 38 civilians on Jumatul Wida (last Friday of month of Ramadan).

An assistant sub-inspector was among those killed in the attack, said Superintendent of Police Asif Ahmad.

Another official claims that Friday's attacks were planned to bleed Pakistan again while sending a message to Islamabad that Pakistan would face more bloodshed through terrorism if Yadev is not released. Islamic State Khorasan Province, the Middle Eastern group's affiliate in Afghanistan and Pakistan, has been known to work with the myriad of Pakistani militant groups in previous attacks, including with JuA. Police officials said nine policemen were among the dead. "I was sitting on a chair".

Some of the seriously wounded people have been airlifted to Peshawar, the largest city in Pakistan's northwest region, according to local media reports.

That attack shocked a country already grimly accustomed to atrocities, and prompted the military to intensify an operation in the tribal areas targeting militants.
