Road rage incident caught on camera in California”

A video of a motorcycle rider kicking his leg at a auto along the 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita in an apparent case of road rage, triggering a chain-reaction crash, went viral on social media.

The California Highway Patrol believes the motorcyclist and driver were shouting at each other before the crash.

The motorcyclist fled the scene, Greengard said.

The video shows the motorcyclist apparently kicking the side of the sedan, which then swerves into the motorcycle.

They also think the driver of the auto may have illegally crossed into the carpool lane moments before the video was recorded.

It's unclear whether the driver lost control before the swerve, or whether they meant to strike the biker with their vehicle.

The auto then careened across two lanes and hit a pickup truck, causing it to flip over.

The driver of the vehicle lost control and hit the median before hitting the median and then a pickup truck. The rider can be seen in the HOV lane reaching his right leg out and hitting the side of a small sedan that is in the same lane. The highway patrol is looking for him.

As a result of the road-rage incident, officials explained, when the Nissan lost control it crashed into a center divider before caroming into the No. 2 lane, where it broadsided a Cadillac, resulting in the Cadillac rolling over. He was kicking the vehicle.

"Words went back and forth", Traber told KNBC.

Morrison immediately turned his footage of the encounter over to the CHP, saying, "The old man who had nothing to do with it was the one that got hurt ... We have to get a statement, see what's going on", Greengard said.
