Andrea Constand takes stand, tells jury Bill Cosby drugged & sexually assaulted her

Andrea Constand takes stand, tells jury Bill Cosby drugged & sexually assaulted her”

Johnson accused Cosby of drugging her during a lunch date at the Bel Air Hotel in the early 1990s.

The defense asked her why she had called Cosby 53 times after the alleged assault, to which Constand said they were about the women's basketball team and often during a tournament period, and that "it had more to do with business than it did with me personally".

A different district attorney for Montgomery County, Risa Ferman, decided in 2015 to charge Cosby.

Victoria Valentino is one of several Cosby accusers attending the trial.

Cosby was not charged with any crimes at the time of Constand's original allegations, but he did settle a civil suit with her out of court in 2006.

"It was the first time he put his hand on me". She said that, at the time, she felt Cosby was taking the time to introduce her to people because she was "a Canadian person in a new city".

"I'm not here for that". Somebody that I trusted.

Gianna Constand said she confronted Cosby by phone during a two-hour call in which she said he "surrendered" to her about the sexual encounter and told her he "was sick". Constand claims that she replied, "I did not, I just want to know what you gave me", to which Cosby did not give her a clear answer.

"I called him on the 14th", she said. "He was a trustee, he was an alumni there".

What's more, Constand's seemingly suggestive behavior toward Cosby was brought into question.

Four days later, Constand told police she believed the sexual assault happened between mid-January and mid-February 2004.

"I was jolted conscious, jolted awake, and I felt Mr. Cosby's hand groping my breasts, under my shirt", a visibly upset Constand said. If he's convicted, Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison on each of three felony counts and up to $25,000 in fines.

Cosby, for years feted by millions as "America's Dad" for his role as a lovable obstetrician and father on "The Cosby Show", says he is now legally blind. Cosby and Frazier were on screen together in the 1978 comedy "California Suite".

Cosby has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and claims that all sexual acts were consensual.

His lawyers tried to poke holes in Constand's story Tuesday, citing differences between her courtroom testimony and the accounts she gave to police and in a lawsuit in 2005.

The defense argues that Constand called Cosby 72 times after the night in question. "I felt humiliated and I felt confused", she continued.

At the defense table, Cosby leaned in to listen, whispered to his lawyer and, during some of Constand's testimony, shook his head.

Kelly Johnson, of Atlanta, worked for one of Cosby's agents at the William Morris Agency.

Bill Cosby arrived for the third day of his sexual assault trial accompanied by one of his co-stars from his 1970s movie run.

Andrea Constand, whom Cosby is accused of assaulting, took the stand Tuesday as the prosecution's star witness. the former Temple University employee told jurors about a night in 2004 when she said Cosby drugged her at his home outside Philadelphia. "And it was sometime between 4 and 5 [a.m.] and I needed to get home because I had to go to work". The trial kicked off yesterday, with Cosby's lawyer Brian McMonagle attempting to present his client as a man who has been framed and telling the jury that "the only thing that is worse than [sexual assault] is the false accusation of sexual assault".
