Search for boy ends after helicopter reporter spots him on roof

Search for boy ends after helicopter reporter spots him on roof”

Angel Gort's family reported him missing at approximately 10 a.m., according to WSVN.

But the police dogs were unsuccessful in their attempts to find him, and local media started to report on his disappearance.

Angel, who says he has ADHD, told reporters he didn't want to go to camp and got into a fight that morning with his mother.

The helicopter was flying over the family home shortly after 12pm as police were seen with bloodhounds searching the area.

But when American journalist Ralph Rayburn reported on the case of missing Florida schoolboy Angel Gort, he made headlines around the world.

"He [was] on the roof of the house".

Rayburn said his team quickly alerted police as to the boy's whereabouts, telling them he appeared to be okay. Police were able to convince the boy to come off the roof.

Once on the ground, Gort said: "My mom is embarrassed".

Speaking to Inside Edition, Rayburn said he was in disbelief at first. That's the kid, on the roof.

Angel told the station he was "not really sure" what he was thinking. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble, and I didn't mean to waste any of the police officers' time", he explained. "It's very hard for her, and I'm proud of the patience she has for me", Angel told WSVN.

Gort, who has run away in the past, shared that he will never do it again.

"I just do the most stupidest things sometimes", he said.
