We're not involved in Warmbier's death, says N/Korea

We're not involved in Warmbier's death, says N/Koreaā€¯

It also called itself the "biggest victim" in the death of an American student who was detained for more than a year and died days after being released in a coma.

"I know being there had something to do with it", Volo said.

North Korea believes that the young man was "a victim of the policy of strategic patience" under the former US President Barack Obama, which refused to hold talks with Pyongyang and never requested his return, the statement said.

Dennis Rodman is building his humanitarian credibility, one trip to North Korea at a time. "Surrounded by his loving family, Otto died at 2:20pm", Warmbier's parents said in a statement Monday, according to an Ohio-based paper. Now, the official Korean Central News Agency has spoken out, via the Washington Post, to say this tragedy is a total mystery to them.

Mr Warmbier was traveling in North Korea with a tour group, and was arrested at Pyongyang airport as he was about to leave.

The spokesman also said that "groundless" speculation of torture and beatings could be refuted by American doctors who came to the North to examine Mr Warmbier before his release and allegedly acknowledged that North Korean doctors had "brought him back alive" after his heart almost stopped.

JTA reported last week, before his death, that Warmbier became active at the University of Virginia campus Hillel following a 2014 Birthright trip to Israel.

Ohio Senator Rob Portman spoke at the funeral, calling Warmbier "an awesome young man" and saying Warmbier should not have been detained.

North Korea reportedly told a USA official that Warmbier contracted botulism and slipped intothe coma after taking a sleeping pill - they claimed to have released the student on "humanitarian grounds".

The death of Otto Warmbier this week after being brought home from North Korea in a coma after 17 months of captivity added fresh impetus to the problem of Kim Jong-un.

Sentenced to hard labor for stealing a political poster from a North Korean hotel, the 22-year-old Warmbier was medically evacuated in a coma last week after almost 18 months in captivity. "From what, we don't know".

Fred Warmbier, the student's father, said the same thing Thursday: "Dennis Rodman had nothing to do with Otto".

"I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them", it said. He told Strahan, "I was just so happy to see the kid released". We jumped up and down.

North Korea has been accused of of using foreign detainees to try to win diplomatic concessions. "And no excuse for the way they've treated so many others", he said.

"What am I getting out of this?"
