100 days on, has Uttar Pradesh fared well under Yogi Adityanath?”

Uttar Pradesh government today postponed release of "white paper" on the "misrule" of the previous Akhilesh Yadav government due to the visit of NDA presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind, official sources here said.

Numerous promises - as mentioned in the party's Lok Sankalp Patra - are yet to be fulfilled by the Chief Minister even after a seemingly honest effort.

The police told the Adityanath government that since the offices of the banks, the chartered accountants and the construction firms were in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and other parts of the country, a central probe agency would be the right authority to investigate the matter.

Record acquisition of wheat was done in 100 days, which could be achieved by the government under Akhilesh Yadav.

Earlier, in an interview to PTI on May 7, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had said on the completion of 100 days in office, the Adityanath government would bring out a "white paper" on "what it inherited from the SP government, what it has done so far and the roadmap for the future".

Deadline on potholes: Adityanath set a deadline of June 15 for making all UP roads pothole-free.

He had also said that a big difference "between us and the SP government is that the earlier regime put its own interests ahead of the development of the state".

"SP leaders, who have carried criminals and rapists with them in their cars, should introspect", he added. The previous SP government wanted to shift the airport to Sefai, the native place of Akhilesh Yadav in Etawah district. "It smacks of politics of vendetta", Samajwadi Party chief spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhury told PTI. Adityanath initiated many reforms for the betterment of the people. Counting the government's achievements, principal secretary (information) Avaneesh Awasthi said it has half a dozen significant measures, starting with the Rs36,500 crore loan waiver and the power-for-all agreement. A panel of ministers constituted by the chief minister has submitted a report on a new mining policy and on clamping down on illegal mining, a major problem in UP.
