Bill Cosby's Accuser Tells Horrifying Story of Abuse During Testimony

Bill Cosby's Accuser Tells Horrifying Story of Abuse During Testimony”

"I did say that ... he had been suggestive, but what I'm saying is Mr. Cosby never disclosed to me that he was interested in a romantic interaction with me", she said, adding that the Cos' gave her a number of gifts, including a $225 hairdryer.

Andrea Constand testified yesterday that Cosby gave her pills and wine before sexually assaulting her, alleging: "I said, 'What are they, are they natural, are they herbal?'" and she said he told her, "These will help you relax".

Later, Ms Sewell says the comedian forced her daughter to take a pill.

Andrea Constand claims Bill Cosby drugged and assaulted her in 2004 while she was working for Temple University's women's basketball team.

Instead of telling her, she said he responded, "I thought you had an orgasm, didn't you?"

Shortly thereafter, Constand said, she became dizzy and was feeling disoriented. She says she then felt paralyzed and helpless as Cosby groped her. The man once known as "America's dad" for his role in the 1980s television hit "The Cosby Show", has denied all wrongdoing. He has previously called the encounter consensual. "And I felt him take my hand and place it on his penis and move it back and forth", Constand said.

She is expected to serve as a key witness for prosecutors during the two-week trial.

Tuesday's testimony from Constand was also the first time she had spoken publicly about Cosby, due to the terms of a confidential 2006 settlement preventing her from doing so.

Constand quickly defended her actions, arguing that she was obligated to keep communication open with Cosby on official Temple University business, and more importantly, to find out what pill he gave her that night.

Bill Cosby walks to the courtroom during a break in his sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

"I began to slur my words, and I also told Mr. Cosby that I had trouble seeing him, that I could see two of him, and my mouth was very cottony", Constand said.

Constand sounded believable. But there will be questions: Why did she continue to contact Cosby after the assault?

The case was eventually forwarded to investigators there, but Cosby wasn't charged until a new prosecutor reopened the case in 2015. "The only thing worse than that is the false accusation of sexual assault". But his fate rests on the allegations of just one woman, Ms Andrea Constand, over one alleged incident in January 2004.

Constand was direct and polite under cross-examination, even when Cosby lawyer Angela Agrusa's questioning grew pointed and accusatory. Johnson testified on Monday that the alleged assault happened in 1996.

Constand is the only plaintiff in the case, but Johnson's story-as with numerous other woman who have accused Cosby-shares remarkable similarities with Constand's, and is being used by the prosecution as evidence of a pattern of behavior. But her demeanour changed when the testimony switched to the night in question.

Other details did match up.

Cosby grinned and tapped his cane at the defense table as McMonagle confronted her with the discrepancies. Using phone records on Tuesday, Agrusa noted that Constand had called at least six different lawyers, starting on the day she first reported the assault to police.

"She called me at work", the mother testified.

Johnson is the only other accuser allowed to testify at Cosby's trial, which stems from allegations he drugged and assaulted a different woman at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

But Miller's timeline differed from Johnson's.
