Sen. Ben Sasse Is Uncommitted On Senate Health Care Bill”

White House officials said on Friday that Trump has been in touch with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and made calls on Thursday and Friday to other lawmakers.

"We've a very good plan", Trump said in an interview broadcast Sunday.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said Sunday on "Meet the Press" that the Senate should not vote on the bill before the recess.

As Senate Republicans aim to force a vote on their version of Trumpcare - a bill that was written in secret, without public hearings, despite the fact that it will reshape one-sixth of the USA economy and impact the lives of millions of Americans - most people have been left in the dark.

Something is there they don't want to make public.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said there's a 50-50 chance the Senate Republicans' health care bill will pass.

Senate Republicans on Thursday unveiled their health care plan, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, that was negotiated behind closed doors.

"The two plans I've seen so far, they don't reduce the cost of health care, unfortunately", Lynch said during an appearance on Boston Herald Radio's "Morning Meeting" program, referring to the GOP plans passed by the House and proposed in the Senate. "But I think they're going to get there", Trump told "Fox and Friends".

The Senate bill resembles legislation the House approved last month that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said would mean 23 million additional uninsured people within a decade and that recent polling shows is viewed favorably by only around 1 in 4 Americans. "But I think we're going to get it". And if it were the greatest bill ever proposed in mankind, we wouldn't get a vote and that's a bad thing.

"There is still a lot of work to be done to fix health care", Executive Vice President of Freedom Partners James Davis told The Daily Caller News Foundation Saturday afternoon. "It's so easy. But we won't get one Democrat vote, not one".
