After all, he once said he'd rather slash his wrists than make another Bond film. Adele did the theme song to 2012's "Skyfall", which was the most profitable Bond film ever pulling in over $1.1 billion.

According to The Mirror, it looks as though Daniel Craig will suit up as James Bond after all, as he reportedly signs up for the upcoming (and now untitled) Bond 25.

But Daniel Craig is now reportedly "coming round" to the idea of starring in a fifth installment - after months of swirling speculation regarding his replacement.

Neal Purvis and Robert Wade who wrote the hugely successful Skyfall have already signed on for Bond 25 so bringing Craig back on board with Chirs Nolan helming the film could be a match made in 007 heaven.

A source revealed: 'Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners.

'As for Adele, she's more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive'.

MailOnline has contacted Daniel's representatives for comment.

Before this, the contenders for the next Bond role were Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender and James Norton.

It's no secret that Daniel Craig wasn't entirely happy to continue playing iconic British superspy, James Bond. The next episode of the spy franchise promises to break that profit's record.

'No, not at the moment. I'm over it at the moment. Though you might think Nolan wouldn't be keen on returning to franchise filmmaking, the director has a soft spot for James Bond and has previously expressed interest in directing one of 007's movies.

According to a report by The Mirror (via ScreenCrush), it seems like a done deal.
