Comic book celebrating Yellow Submarine movie's 50th anniversary in development”

A comic book adaptation of the 1968 animated film The Beatles: Yellow Submarineis in development from cartoonist Bill Morrison and United Kingdom publisher Titan Comics, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As the movie rounds toward its 50th anniversary next year, the cartoon will be reimagined in comic book form, adding to the artistic legacy of the film. If any music movie has the right to be adapted into a comic book, due both to its aesthetics and its historical importance, Yellow Submarine is the one. "We can't wait for Beatles fans to experience this official adaptation". Aside from a few pages that have been shared in advance, we also have the source material, so we know that it ought to be bright and colorful and fun.

The movie, originally released in July 1968, saw animated versions of Paul, John, George and Ringo led to Pepperland by Captain Fred in an attempt to rescue it from the menace of the music-hating Blue Meanies. Since its original release, the movie has become a cornerstone of contemporary popular culture and has inspired generations of award-winning animators. Bill Morrison, the longtime Bongo Comics creator and newly announced incoming editor of MAD Magazine, will write and illustrate the special edition, fulfilling a decades-held dream in the process.

The film featured a cameo by the band.

"Each TITAN is 3" blind-boxed and there are 2 hidden chase figures in every 18-figure PDQ (or counter display case, if you're from Merrie Olde England) for Beatlemaniacs to hunt and collect!
