Waterbury Police Investigate Drive-By Shooting

Police said a man was standing in front of 38 Englewood Ave. when a dark-colored four-door sedan drove past him and fired two shots.

Police say the victim was standing in front of 38 Englewood Avenue around 9:30 p.m., when a vehicle drove by and two shots were fired at him- striking him in the right ankle and left thigh. The bullets struck him in the right ankle and left thigh. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital for wounds police said are not life-threatening. The vehicle then fled towards Plank Road.

Police say they found one.40 caliber shell casing at the scene. Anyone with information should contact the Waterbury Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
