National Basketball Association free agency 2017: Manu Ginobili finalizing contract to return to Spurs

National Basketball Association free agency 2017: Manu Ginobili finalizing contract to return to Spurs”

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday that Ginobili is finalizing a contract to return to the San Antonio Spurs for a 16th National Basketball Association season.

We thought last season might be it, and the odds are high that Ginobili would play another year after this one.

The Argentinian has spent his entire career with San Antonio and has won four championships while making two All-Star teams, two All-NBA teams and winning the 2007-08 Sixth Man of the Year award. The other is former U.S. Sen.

Ginobili has averaged 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 25.8 minutes during a career that spanned 992 games. His return to the Spurs is somewhat interesting in that it looked like Ginobili was going to call it quits after San Antonio was swept out of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals by the Golden State Warriors. He has played in five NBA Finals with San Antonio. "Manu has been a fantastic, magnificent player all his career".

The 39-year-old is coming off of the worst season of his career, in which he averaged a career-low 7.5 points per game off a lifetime-worst 39 percent shooting clip. Ginobili still averaged nearly 19 minutes in the 69 games he played. It's about how I feel. If I want to go through all of that again. "Whatever I decide to do, I'll be a happy camper".
