The teens have been missing since Tuesday evening, when they were last reported seen at the location of the event - DAR Constitution Hall on 18th St between C Street and D Street in Northwest DC - the Metropolitan Police Department said.

The missing teens are members of the Burundi robotics team and were taking part in the FIRST Global Challenge robotics competition being held in the District earlier this week. There are four males and two females ranging in age from 16 to 18. A squad of girls from Afghanistan drew the most attention after they were twice rejected for USA visas and President Donald Trump intervened.

In a statement given to FOX 5, the competition's host said, "Security of the students is of paramount importance to FIRST Global". According a D.C. police report, the students were here on a one-year visa.

The Washington Post reports that competition organizers said in a statement that the team's mentor couldn't find the group of six students and reports were submitted to police. The team's slogan in Kirundi is "Ugushaka Nugushobora", meaning "where there is wiling is also the ability", according to the page.
