This new WhatsApp feature will make watching videos easier”

Whatsapp will test the in-app YouTube playback support as a hidden feature.

This picture-in-picture feature allows users to play the video over your screen while using other apps or playing games.

The report in WABetalnfo also mentions that the video in whatsapp will play in a picture-in-picture mode.

The current version of the app will open the YouTube app or, if the official portal is not installed, a web browser. The well known communications app is packed full of really great features for spicing up otherwise boring text conversations and is so popular that even Apple took a page out of their book with iOS 10, introducing numerous same features to iMessage.

Now, the picture-in-picture mode has been spotted running on Android O Developer Preview on the app version 2.17.265. However, it is not certain that WhatsApp users will be receiving the feature anytime soon. Or is it just something you use out of necessity to communicate across iOS and Android?
