Teens Charged in Death of 17-Year-Old Boy”

Three teenagers have been arrested in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Maryland high school student found dead in his vehicle.

The victim was identified as Dustin Khoury, 17, of Sparrows Point.

Prince George's County police identified the suspects as 18-year-old Kalik Johnson of Laurel, Maryland; 18-year-old Kylah Nettleton of Severn, Maryland; and 17-year-old Darius Johnson of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Officers were called to Contee and Larchdale roads for a report of a shooting shortly before 8:30 a.m. and found Khoury in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment, but died of his injuries.

Khoury, who was a rising Meade Senior High School senior, met the suspects for an illegal transaction, WRC-TV reported. Police have not said what was being exchanged nor what led to Khoury being shot.

Johnson is being charged as an adult, and all three teens are being held without the possibility of bail, police said.

The suspects are being charged with first and second degree murder.

Khoury's death is the 14th homicide in the county this month.

"He never reached adulthood, never had a chance to live life", Michael Khoury said. "It's just one day at a time for us".
