Two in custody after police chase”

A man and woman are in custody after a police chase started in Wichita, and ended in Rose Hill.

Wichita police were called around 5:30 Tuesday morning, after someone saw a man and woman force another woman into a vehicle at gunpoint.

The suspect is on foot armed with a silver handgun.

Police spotted the vehicle, and attempted to pull it over, but the driver accelerated.

Authorities are looking for an armed suspect in the Rose Hill Road area in Butler County.

The 30 year old male suspect fled the scene, but was captured shortly at an address near the crash scene. The woman who was forced into the vehicle was treated for minor injuries. She was hospitalized and then taken to be interviewed by detectives. He was later located in the 200 block of W. Rosewood and arrested.

Davidson said the man would be booked for aggravated assault, kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm, felony traffic charges and parole violations.

A woman who had been kidnapped by a stranger in Wichita, according to the post, was rescued.

Wichita police say they do not believe the abduction is random and may have involved drugs.

They are working to determine the relationship between the suspects and the victim.
