Viral Tinder Couple Meets for First Time After Three Years of Messaging”

Tinder agreed to pay for the lovers to visit their choice of destination and joked: "Aloha!"

Remember these guys? They're the Tinder couple who have been in a text-only relationship for three years. They could have just met each other the old-fashioned way since they do live on the same campus.

What's more, when the good folks over at Tinder heard about their story, they generously offered to send the pair to a city of their choice for their first date.

If you haven't been following the story of Michelle and Josh, the Tinder couple, where have you been the last couple of weeks?

Michelle and Josh had been slobbering back and forth for over three years and were taking months to reply to each other. Then he waited months before responding, "Hey, sorry was in the shower".

So, why did it take this adorable duo so long to meet?

His post got people's attention on social media, with many saying that they were rooting for them and telling the Tinder couple that they need to get married. Michelle said on Good Morning America how she was totally committed to the joke and would not be the one to break it. The two then began a three-year-long conversation, giving each other creative excuses for their extremely delayed responses with each message, including amusing one-liners such as "Presidents Day had me swamped". "I can't believe I'm seeing her right now", Josh said after he and Michelle shared their first hug. The non-couple, naturally, eventually decided on Hawaii. It was time for this couple to meet in person. There was not much hesitation in their joint decision to go to Maui for their first date.

There's nothing like meeting for the first time in three years, on TV, in front of millions of viewers. This Tinder couple may just be the flawless match for each other.

On the program, Avsec said his sister met her fiance on Tinder.
