Arabs Riot in Jaffa

Arabs Riot in Jaffa”

Another man was reported to be moderately injured.

Dozens of protesters burned tires, trash bins, clashed with the police, broke windows of a patrol auto and marched through a central street of Jaffa, which is popular with the tourists. According to the Times of Israel, the men shot back at police and then attempted to flee the scene on motorcycles.

At least three rioters were detained for questioning, police said.

Both were taken to the hospital, where al-Saadi died.

A gag order was placed on the details of the earlier shooting at the port but the background is believed to be criminal.

Attorney Muhammad Adri of Jaffa's Muslim Council strongly criticized the police. "Water arrived into the soul of everything that is related to the conduct of the police in Jaffa against the Arabs", he said in a conversation with Haaretz.
