Producers: No end in sight for 'Outlander' as season 3 nears

Producers: No end in sight for 'Outlander' as season 3 nears”

The show has to cover the 20 years that the two spend apart before they can reunite, both of them trying to rebuild their lives after seemingly losing their soulmate forever.

As Season 3 of Outlander draws ever nearer, fans are getting understandably excited about seeing Jamie and Claire on screen once more.

"It's two decades of these two people's lives, so it felt like to do that justice, you had to give it some time and some space", Moore said of the story line, which is something Balfe really treasured about the season.

She is carrying Jamie's (Sam Heughan) child. "How does that experience wear on somebody? I loved being able to play that".

"Jamie is in hiding ... still holding on to Claire", Heughan says in the video. Drawing on events in novel No. 3, "Voyager", the series opens immediately after Claire lands back in her 1948 life.

"We see Claire in the 1940s having lost the love of her life and having lost an important part of herself", Balfe teases in the video.

For Claire, that means trying to make it work with her first husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies), for the benefit of Brianna (Sophie Skelton), Jamie's daughter, who Frank has agreed to raise as his own. And we know that because, when Jamie comes to and realizes he's somehow survived the bloody skirmish, he has to push Randall's heavy corpse off his chest: Though it's unclear exactly how it comes about, Black Jack dies on top of Jamie. However, as new footage released by Starz reveals, the pair must endure a separation spanning two decades before any reunion can take place. Click through to see them below.

Outlander Season 3 premieres on Sunday, September 10, at 8pm ET/PT on STARZ. You're constantly being kept on your toes.
