Dana White says GSP will fight Bisping

Dana White says GSP will fight Bisping”

The on again, off again saga of Bisping vs. St-Pierre has been going on for months after the fight was announced in March and then canceled weeks later after it was revealed the former welterweight champion wouldn't be able to return until late in 2017.

He had always been rumored to make a comeback, but once he finally announced it, no one could have ever seen this type of craziness coming, especially Woodley, who was shocked when told he was no longer fighting St-Pierre next. It is just a insane path for this to be how GSP returns to the sport he walked away from four years ago. I know Michael Bisping will show up and fight.

"That ship turned around and f***ing sailed back", White said of GSP's showdown with Bisping. Despite stuffing 24 takedown attempts from the Brazilian, Woodley and Maia combined for the fewest landed punches in a title fight ever.

"I know Michael Bisping will go in there and fight", White said after UFC 214.

"You ask fans if they want to see Woodley fight again". The guy could have finished that fight at any time he wanted to, but he didn't want to take the risks.

"You take no risks, you get no rewards".

According to the L.A Times, the fight is all but booked for UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden this November.

Australian interim middleweight champion Whittaker, who will be sidelined for some time after picking up a serious knee injury in his unanimous decision win over Yoel Romero at UFC 213, will fight the victor.

"Whoever wins that fight between GSP and Bisping, Whittaker will fight the victor".

After bagging Woodley, White said Robbie Lawler could be next in-line for a title shot.

But with his recent finish of Luke Rockhold to win the belt at 2016's UFC 199 coupled with his close, exciting victories over Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson, it's hard to argue that Bisping is not exciting and willing to bring the action to his opponents. The 35-year-old won potential Fights of the Year against Johny Hendricks, Rory McDonald and Carlos Condit since 2014.

After all of that, after UFC 214 concluded official word came down.
