Los Angeles Chargers rookie G Forrest Lamp suffers torn right ACL

Los Angeles Chargers rookie G Forrest Lamp suffers torn right ACL”

The injuries keep piling up during National Football League training camps.

A source tells Schefter the initial prognosis is that Lamp tore his right ACL while pulling on a running play during team drills.

The Chargers are already without No. 7 overall pick, Mike Williams, who started training camp on the active Physically Unable to Perform List with a disk herniation in his back.

The Los Angeles Chargers saw one of the team's offensive linemen suffer an injury during Wednesday's practice, with rookie guard Forrest Lamp being carted off of the field with a right leg injury according to Jack Wang of the Los Angeles Daily News. Lamp starred for Western Kentucky before skyrocketing up draft boards. He had been alternating with the starters at right guard along with sixth-year pro Kenny Wiggins. Luckily, the Chargers have depth on the interior with Feeney (who's been getting first-team reps at both center and guard), veteran Matt Slauson, Spencer Pulley, Donavon Clark and Max Tuerk.

Hopefully the injury isn't serious.
