Moments later about a half block away, a 31-year-old women fleeing the gunshots ran into the street holding her 3-year-old son and both were hit by a vehicle.

The two were headed west on E 174th St. were hit by a vehicle near Vyse Soundview around 11:30 p.m., according to cops.

One woman was shot once in each leg and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center.

And in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn, an 18 year-old-man was standing at 355 Winthrop Street around 11pm when an unknown gunman approached for an allegedly unknown reason, displayed his weapon and fired multiple rounds.

"A lot of people were trying to help her and stop the bleeding and I called 911 and then I called the ambulance then everybody came and they took her", Kassim said. Both were taken to area hospitals and are now stable, according to police.

In a separate incident that has been reported as connected to the shooting, a woman 31-year-old woman and her 3-year-old son were struck by the driver of a auto on East 174th Street and Vyse Avenue.

Just after midnight, two teenagers suffered non-life threatening injuries when they were shot in Morrisania, police said.

The mother and her child were both rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi with non-life threatening injuries.
