You don't need to be violent to serve country - Mahama tells Kenyans”

Kenya has had violent polls in the past with over a thousand people killed a decade ago during their general elections.

They include President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition leader Raila Odinga, Mohamed Abduba Dida, John Ekuru Longoggy Aukot, Shakhalaga Khwa Jirongo, Japhet Kavinga Kaluyu, Michael Wainaina Mwaura, and Joseph William Nthiga Nyagah.

In 2013, the two men clashed in a similar election but was largely peaceful.

He was found dead with missing body parts. He had been severely tortured and strangled to death.

That has raised tension in the country days to the election.

Kenya is bigger than any politicians and the Kenyan people must prevail.
