300m for Messi seems possible, says Klopp

300m for Messi seems possible, says Klopp”

Hence, the Barcelona boss has been left scrambling in search of a top replacement for Neymar.

The Catalan giants have been rocked by the loss of key forward Neymar this month, seeing the Brazil global join Paris Saint-Germain after a £198m clause in his contract was met.

According to reports in the Spanish press on Saturday, Messi has now encouraged his side to go in for Di Maria, and bring the winger back to La Liga. While Liverpool have flatly refused to sell Coutinho at any price, Dortmund are willing to negotiate if the Catalan club offer at least €140m.

Di Maria is widely regarded as one of the best attacking players in the world, having enjoyed a highly productive four-year spell with Real Madrid before establishing himself as a key figure for PSG, via a failed one-year spell at Manchester United.

From the point of view of FC Barcelona, the Brazilian national player did not stick to the then-made agreements.

"If he decides to remain at the club, we will have a great player and if he leaves we will get his whole buyout clause paid in full".

From arch rivals to teammates?

Barcelona are hopeful of bringing Angel Di Maria to the Nou Camp this summer, after star man Lionel Messi reportedly encouraged a move for his fellow Argentine.

If there's any player out there worthy of the cost, many would argue Messi to be him, and Klopp could be proved correct in asserting his €300 million cost no longer looks so far out of reach. However, Di Maria's current contract ends in 2019 while Draxler's deal runs out in 2021.
