JJ Watt says Kendrick Lamar texted him about his brother's National Football League debut

JJ Watt says Kendrick Lamar texted him about his brother's National Football League debut”

T.J. younger brother of one of the best defensive players in the National Football League, J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans, made his presence felt in his first game of National Football League action by recording not one, but two sacks in the first quarter of the game alone.

"It was the most insane thing in the world", J.J. said. At least he was after he had received a text from rapper Kendrick Lamar alerting him to the exceptional game his brother was having.

The performance by T.J. Watt was more than enough to have his older brother immediately reacting on Twitter following the first sack alone. Well when he got out of the meeting, Watt had known what his little brother was doing because, well, Lamar was really the one to tell him.

Big brother, of course, is three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt, who tweeted an appropriate message after T.J. recorded two sacks in his first four defensive plays in the Steelers' 20-12 win over the Giants. I wanted to tweet 'Congratulations on a great first game, ' but, at the same time, I'm like, 'No, you're on another team. For that, J.J. can thank Kendrick Lamar - yes, the Grammy Award-winning rapper.

"We love each other so much and we appreciate and respect each other so much that it doesn't really bother him", J.J. said. "But I'm very quick to remind him that it was a preseason game".

Last night when I did start watching the game, I didn't know how to feel because the Steelers are an AFC team.

J.J. and the Texans will host T.J. and the Steelers on Christmas day at NRG Stadium. "I want my brother to do good, but then I'm like, wait a second here". Either way, Friday night was a good night for the Watts. "So I literally didn't know what to do". He's healthy and for now is just excited to be back on the field with the Texans preparing for the season. "I love it. I love being able to represent our team, represent our city and be out here with the guys and be able to put on a show".
