Jose Mourinho: I won't moan if Man United don't sign another player

Jose Mourinho: I won't moan if Man United don't sign another player”

United triumphed 2-0 over Ajax in the Europa League final to claim the trophy for the first time and secure a return to the Champions League. And while he made no secret of his desire to see one more player come in, the 54-year-old is adamant it will not make or break United's season.

"There are not many, there are just a couple".

"But I was not thinking of him because I never go to players who I think are the impossible mission".

'When I got a call that Matic wants to play for me, I thought he was the flawless player for me. "If that is going to mean better results and the title, I don't know".

There is a real battle for who starts on the wings, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all vying for a place in Mourinho's starting eleven. "I'm on fire! But I will behave on the touchline, even if goals are offside".

"It's the objective of every one of the top teams and every one of the top team managers".

Mourinho likes his teams to be streetwise and physically imposing.

"It's getting much harder for everyone, so we don't know".

"I am very happy to have him because he is one of those players with no question marks". He doesn't need time to adapt, he's not a young guy coming from another country, he doesn't need to learn the Premier League, ' added Mourinho.

Mourinho has won the domestic league title at the end of his second year in each of his five major management jobs. He gives me something I really like which is consistency. Matic normally plays to a certain level (holds his hand up), sometimes a little above that and sometimes a little below. I trust that the player is going to perform, so I think he is a fantastic signing'.

"Arsenal and Everton are in the Europa League and they have to play Thursdays". I'm not in a position to say I'm not happy. We are going to try to win the title. That is normal, but that is not enough. "I think the competition can be better than ever".

West Ham forward Javier Hernandez is excited to play against his former club Manchester United this weekend and has said that he feels only "happiness" towards the club that brought him to the Premier League several years ago. They didn't sell, like some were expecting, the top players - Ozil, Alexis. Liverpool is equipped. Chelsea were the champions easily, they lost some players but bought some players.

"When this season I got the call that Matic wants to play for me, wants to play for Manchester United and he can make it happen, I thought he's the ideal player for me".
