National Football League could still investigate Ezekiel Elliott bar incident

National Football League could still investigate Ezekiel Elliott bar incident”

He was absent from his own festival on Friday at Nobu in Malibu, however, and if one wishes to take that as a sign of anger, disgust or "busyness" due to the six-game suspension handed to his star running back Ezekiel Elliott, one should do that.

In the tweet, which contained a screenshot of a note with no accompanying text, Elliott recognized and apologized for the distraction his off-field behavior has caused.

"I admit that I am far from flawless, but I plan to continue to work very hard, on and off the field, to mature and earn the great opportunity that I have been given".

Now, that doesn't mean Elliott would be banished if he gets in trouble again, but it means the punishment would be on the table if he were involved in another domestic violence incident. The Columbus city attorney's office decided last September that Elliott wouldn't face charges. "Although no arrests were made in either episode, the National Football League said that "[even] when a player is not charged with a crime, he may still be found to have violated the [personal conduct] policy if the credible evidence establishes that he engaged in conduct prohibited" by it. Jones may not have fellow National Football League big-shots who want him to take the battle that far, though the commissioner may find himself facing enough critics that see him an expendable as he sees Elliott.

Elliott, who was suspended without pay, said he plans to "continue to work very hard, on and off the field, to mature and earn the great opportunity that I have been given". Elliott & his reps are "extremely disappointed". The NFL looked into the case, but couldn't come to any conclusions. If the suspension holds up, Elliott wouldn't be eligible to play in the regular season until October 29 when the Cowboys play the Washington Redskins.
