Swift security guard testifies in groping trial”

The District Judge ruled that Swift was not liable, as Mueller had not proved that she personally set out to have him fired after the 2013 photo-op.

Mumbai: American pop star Taylor Swift has secured a legal victory in an ongoing sexual assault trial against ex-radio host David Mueller. The former disc-jockey filed the complaint last Wednesday and sought a $3 million as a rightful compensation. According to reports, the jury was sent home this weekend before the judge will decide on the counterclaim brought by Swift's attorney to exclude her from Mueller's lawsuit.

Martinez said the eight-person jury will make a decision on Swift's claim that she was groped.

In unvarnished language that occasionally drew titters in the courtroom, even from some jurors, Swift testified that she was the victim of a "devious and sneaky act".

"A man grabbed her rear end". "He stayed latched onto my bare ass cheek".

In a deposition previous year, Swift said, "He reached up under my skirt and grabbed my ass right when I was having to pose for the photo, and it felt intentional that that would be the time he would choose to do it".

Swift said that she didn't say anything at that time because she was so intimidatingly shocked, and didn't take the issue to court before being sued because she didn't want it to define her career. Her skirt went up. Mueller testified he did not grope Swift.

"I was definitely sure that he had been drinking", Dent said of Mueller. "He wasn't staggering or falling down". Mueller has his right hand concealed behind Swift's backside, and she appears to have shifted her hip away from him.

The alleged groping incident took place just before a meet-and-greet in Denver, Colorado. When she finished meeting her fans, Dent said, Swift told her staff about the groping.

Mueller's lawyer Gabriel McFarland repeatedly pressed Dent on why he didn't step in.

Closing arguments are expected Monday.
