Latest Update On The Jarryd Hayne And Neil Henry Saga”

Henry and Hayne spoke to the board separately, with the board confident public pressure will not weigh into its decision despite the extended wait.

Neil Henry is to be sacked by the Gold Coast Titans, with Thursday night's game against the Eels the only reason he wasn't let go following Monday's crisis meeting, according to The Daily Telegraph's Phil Rothfield.

Titans powerbrokers could not decide what course of action to take during a three-hour meeting and will reconvene at a later date.

The situation escalated when board members Darryl Kelly and Trish Hogan appeared at Titans headquarters for the meeting but they could not reach a resolution.

Annesley said nothing had been decided.

Hayne told media he did not speak to with Henry during the week leading up to the Tians' 42-16 loss to the Dragons on Friday. We are just trying to get across those issues and make a decision to what way the club goes moving forward.

Hayne has not fit in with Henry's methods and cultural standards and the relationship struggled to improve over the course of the season.

"Both people are contracted to the club next year so you don't have to be Einstein to work out the possible options but the board's not going to rush into any one of those options without taking the full time to consider it properly".

Added Frizelle: "Given the extra time we will make the right decision but we do need the time to do that".

"The club is bigger than any one individual", said Frizelle.
