Video captures Tom Cruise limping after 'MI6' stunt”

Filming on the sixth 'Mission: Impossible' instalment could be halted for up to four months after leading man Tom Cruise recovers from injuries sustained during a failed stunt.

The Sun reports that the 55-year-old star broke two bones in his ankle after attempting a wire jump between two rooftops in London and smacking into the cusp of one of the buildings.

Despite his injuries, the star hasn't been put off performing his own stunts.

Cruise is then seen pulling himself up and limping over to the film's crew members, who are just feet away. The movie's bosses had no choice other than to postpone the filming. "Tom did serious damage and will need months to recover", a source told the publication.

It's being alleged that he broke 2 bones in his ankle while filming in London and the site claimed that the breaks were so serious that he's now flown home to the United States to recover.

"He is the film's biggest star and everything revolves around him". These have included filming in zero-gravity for an aeroplane crash scene in "The Mummy" and clinging onto the side of a plane as it takes off in "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation".

Cruise was left with two broken bones in his ankle after he plummeted into a concrete wall in mid air.

The film was scheduled to hit the theatres in summer 2018, but it is believed that the release date could be pushed back to Christmas due to the incident.

The stunt itself took place at Blackfriars in central London, with Cruise reportedly expected to return home to the U.S. for treatment.
