Dabang Delhi edge U Mumba 32-31

Dabang Delhi edge U Mumba 32-31”

Jasvir Singh scored 10points and Pawan Kumar scored nine points to lead their team to victory.

U Mumba started strongly and led 3-0 after three minutes as Kashiling Adake and Anup Kumar scored raid points.

An all out with eight minutes remaining proved the tuning point for Delhi as they led 27-22 and never allowed the hosts to stage a come back in the game. Kuldeep Singh scored with a three-point raid in the 8th minute as U Mumba trailed 6-7.

Pawan scored with a two-point raid in the seventh minute as Jaipur led 7-3.

U Mumba would have hoped its maiden home game, that too on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi, would get its topsy-turvy campaign in the fifth season of the ProKabaddi League on track. Both teams were locked in an intense battle as the match was tied at 17-17 at the end of the first half. Joining raiding with forces with Monu Goyat and Vinod Kumar, Pardeep double his side's lead by 10-5 in the first 10 minutes.

In the 12th minute Jaipur Pink Panthers inflicted an all out to lead 13-8.

Jasvir's next raid also resulted in a three-pointer, thus opening up a decisive lead.

Bengal Warriors coach Jagdish Kumble's words at the break instilled some confidence in his team as they produced a spirited fightback in the second half.

It didn't look like U Mumba could mount a comeback but Anup Kumar dragged them into the game. And the on-song Jaipur captain ensured that U Mumba was all-out yet again on the stroke of half-time.

Jaipur Pink Panthers were relentless for the entire match and didn't let U Mumba a chance throughout for 30 minutes.

U Mumba scored four points in the next two minutes as they trailed 34-38 in the 38th minute with Darshan Kadian scoring a raid point.
