Man goes fishing in flooded house after Hurricane Harvey

Man goes fishing in flooded house after Hurricane Harvey”

Flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey in the USA state of Texas meant one fishing enthusiast didn't have to go very far to catch fish. In fact, you can say the fish came to him.

Viviana Saldaña filmed her father's fish-chasing hijinks in their Houston home on Saturday, after the house had taken on over a foot of water as the remains of Harvey inundated the area.

But then, after a bit of careful positioning, he finally manages to catch the slippery fish with his bare hands and pulls it writhing from the water.

In the clips, Saldana is seen comically diving into the water several times as he tries to get hold of the fish. He eventually succeeds, holding up the fish by its tail as his daughter laughs in the background. Ms Saldana writes on Facebook. Saldana captioned the post.

The videos have been viewed millions of times and shared near and far.

Harvey struck Texas as a category 4 hurricane Friday night but made its way through Sunday as a tropical storm.
