North Korea Reportedly Launches Another Missile Into The Sea”

The number of American troops participating decreased by 7,500 this year, as compared to 25,000 USA troops last year - a 30% reduction. "Government of Guam leadership was made aware before media reports". This is the principle that Pyongyang and Washington should abide by when they talk. Just think about it.

It is not the first time British military has taken part in exercises on the peninsula. As a result, the United States and South Korea heightened their defense posture, which included sending American strategic assets like the B-1B Lancer bomber over the peninsula.

Kim Jong Un, the North Korean dictator, inspected a special operation forces training of the army which simulated attacks on South Korean islands, according to state media in Pyongyang. Tactically and strategically, it was a dumb move as it would be seen as a weakness on the USA part. Guam is home to two key USA military bases. It was pre-planned to de-escalate the tensions with North Korea.

On Thursday, Moon said that improved relations with the North could eventually lead to the denuclearization that world powers seek.

It wasn't hard for the Chinese to justify to the Yankees the needs to downsize their troops.

The missiles were launched from Kittaeryong, in North Korea's eastern Kangwon province.

Saturday's launch comes during an annual joint military exercise between the United States and South Korea that the North condemns as an invasion rehearsal, and weeks after Pyongyang threatened to lob missiles toward Guam.

Since Monday, 29 British military and civilian personnel have been engaged in Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG), an annual US-South Korean military exercise. "North Korea should not use this as a pretext for provocation".

North Korea has yet to respond to an offer by Moon to seek a deal by 2020 to bring about the "complete denuclearization" of the isolated nation in return for a peace treaty that would guarantee the survival of Kim's regime. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson earlier this week credited the North with showing restraint by not launching a missile since the late July ICBM test. China and South Korea both have been against the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Aerial Defense (THAAD) system in South Korea with Seoul saying it might force Pyongyang to escalate its nuclear program and China fears it would upset the balance of power in the region as it would give the United States an edge if conflict breaks out.

Not only do such vague and abstract statements merely put South Korea in the backseat as the USA and Japan are stepping up their efforts; but with North Korea's recent missile tests demonstrating the ability to strike the US, coupled with threats to attack Guam, it has become abundantly clear that any such red line has already been well and truly breached weeks ago.
