Texans fly to Dallas; no timetable for return to Houston”

ESPN reports the Houston Texans were unable to get back to Houston after Saturday night's game in New Orleans.

The University of Houston football team went to Austin on Friday, practiced there Saturday and will resume practice Sunday on the University of Texas campus. "Now we aren't too happy about that. So we will just ride it out and see what happens".

The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers won't travel to Houston as planned after their games Sunday in California because of torrential floodwaters that have engulfed the city during Tropical Storm Harvey.

It remains unclear if the Texans return home to face the Cowboys or if the game will be moved to Dallas. Regular updates will be provided as we have more information.

"I'm sitting here watching the news, checking the Internet and seeing everything that's going on with Hurricane Harvey and the damage it's causing back home", Watt said in a video message to his 3.89 million followers on Twitter and 2.7 million followers on Instagram. The Cowboys have already offered to host Thursday's preseason game against the Texans, which is scheduled to be held at NRG Stadium in Houston. "We're going to come out of this stronger than ever".

"Obviously the primary concern at this time is the welfare and safely of the residents of the Houston area and South Texas who are dealing with a catastrophic weather situation", said Rangers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Jon Daniels. "When you're having a hurricane on top of your city, that's a tough one". The defensive end also announced that he would be starting a fundraiser to help relief efforts.
