Moore to miss Wallabies' South Africa Test

Moore to miss Wallabies' South Africa Test”

Former Qantas Wallabies captain Stephen Moore will not travel with the squad to Perth on Sunday, with the 122-Test veteran to remain at home in Brisbane with his wife for the birth of their child.

Tolu Latu, who missed the first two games of the southern hemisphere competition against New Zealand due to a neck injury, will replace Moore in the squad.

Moore will re-join the squad following the match against South Africa with the hooker available for selection for the Test with Argentina in Canberra on September 16.

The rest of the Wallabies' squad is unchanged for the Springboks clash on September 9 at nib Stadium.

The Wallabies, who last won the World Cup in 1999, are now sitting third in the standings, having only managed to secure one losing bonus point from the losses to the world champions.

Resurgent South Africa will head to Australia with a spring in their step following back-to-back wins over Argentina.

But they put up an almighty fight in last week's re-match, with only a late All Blacks try consigning the Wallabies to a 35-29 defeat in Dunedin.
