ZTE-owned Nubia has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market, namely, the Nubia M2 Play. The Nubia M2 Play comes in Black with Gold colour.

The highlight of the smartphone is its 4G VoLTE capabilities, fingerprint scanning support, and Android Nougat software. Priced at Rs 8,999, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, layered with the company's UI 5.0 on top. "M2 Play has a Neo Power 2.5 technology package that helps in battery optimization as well as scenario-based smart sensing the user enjoys a ideal balance between performance and energy consumption", stated Nubia.

Design wise, the Nubia M2 Play is identical to the M2 Lite. However, the Nubia smartphones have a soft spot from my side, in fact, we think Nubia offers best in-class built quality in all the categories. The device was first launched in China in June this year.

Coming to the specifications, the Nubia M2 Play features a 5.5 inch HD LCD display. Internally, it is powered by an octa-core (4×1.4GHz and 4×1.1GHz) Snapdragon 435 SoC. It sports a 13-megapixels rear camera with NeoVision 6.0 camera engine, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. Nubia has added 32GB of internal storage to the phone, which is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. It has a 5MP front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture with 84 degree wide angle lens. On the battery front, the smartphone packs a 3,000mAh non-removable battery with NeoPower 2.5 battery optimisation technology support. The fingerprint sensor in the front also doubles as a home button. The Nubia M2 Play features capacitive navigation buttons along with the company's signature red circle physical Home Button, located just below the display panel.
