'Game of Thrones' Season 8: Will Jaime, Tormund, Beric become White Walkers?”

As expected of a show of such huge following, the reaction to the season has received varied and mixed reactions. "Game of Thrones" season seven is a completely different beast.

Cersei also shows a sliver of emotions as she refuses to kill her brother Tyrion. "The Dragon and the Wolf" did not escape the rule and we could see Sansa and Arya Stark side by side on the ramparts of Winterfell in a scene imitating nearly identically the poses of Jon and Sansa in the season 6. The Unsullied took Casterly Rock, which Jaime sacrificed in order to conquer Highgarden. With Cersei dead, there never would have been a need to capture a wight, which means Daenerys never would have had to rescue the Snow-icide Squad, and the Night King would never have ended up with a dragon. These characters are now involved in a war; however, their conversations resemble sit-com dialogue and the White Walker scene feels awfully out of place: the White Walker is removed from the box by The Hound like a rabbit from a magician's hat.

Hot Pie thought he was telling Arya good news, but instead he might have ruined everything for everyone.

Additionally, what's to stop Arya from haring off to King's Landing once Cersei's treachery becomes known?

"Beyond the Wall" (Season 7 episode 6) saw the Army of the Dead in full action for the first time since the fifth season, and it was undeniably terrifying. Yet that would be an incorrect assessment.

Let me start with the bad and some things which really frustrated me especially regarding how the storyline was written. In particular, the madness that is Game of Thrones. Having heroes on both sides heightened every second of the battle, forcing viewers to hold their breaths as they waited to see which of their favorites would survive. This last scene and Littlefinger's death were undoubtedly great moments, but they were also the only noteworthy scenes of the entire episode.

The characters continuously got themselves out of knotty situations with plot devices that were unsatisfactory. Learning that the throne is Jon's by blood could be devastating to her, and unless he bends the knee in this regard and abdicates his place, there could be even larger problems for the two. After taking Casterly Rock, for instance, the Unsullied do absolutely nothing for the whole Season. But Tyrion isn't Cersei's only little brother. The biggest of these was the foolish plan to capture a wight, which obviously was just a way for the Night King to get his own dragon and therefore have a way of breaching the Wall.

The scenes were well made and the acting was still top class. Perhaps scenes like this could have been planned out better. I think that worked for some people, for other people it didn't. By placing its main characters in a safety bubble, the show made it hard to suspend disbelief.

The story is, after all, winding down and the storylines have to be unified. Things, mainly people, moved way too quickly. As a result, the pace that has been set for years is completely changed, and there are obvious and significant ramifications to the show's quality.
