Here's How the New Secret of Mana Footage Compares to the Original

After last weeks release of gameplay from the upcoming Secret of Mana PS4 remake, one Youtube user chose to see how the games graphics stack up against the original SNES version. If you're not sure which team you're on or if you need another look at things, YouTuber Cycu1 has put together a video that splices important scenes from the original game together to make a helpful comparison video. Watch as the PS4 version matches the original beat for beat below.

The Secret of Mana remake has caused a bit of a ruckus since it was announced. You can never have too much Mana, and today is certainly a good day for the fans of the Seiken Densetsu series. It's only about six minutes long, but it shows the PlayStation 4 demo from PAX West running side by side with the original SNES release.

It's still an energetic and colourful take on action-RPGs, and even if the new 3D work doesn't quite have the timeless quality of the SNES art, it's still a super charming look.

User Cycle1 went to the task of comparing the original SNES game to the updated remake in a straight up, side-by-side view for fans to look at.

Secret of Mana is due out as a digital-only release for PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC worldwide on February 15, 2018.
