Lotus Evora GT430 Sport Unveiled

Lotus Evora GT430 Sport Unveiled”

Barely two months after the "regular" GT 430 was revealed, the British carmaker has made a decision to build a toned-down version of the most powerful Lotus to date.

Now that Geely officially has command over the British sports vehicle brand you'd think they're busy behind the drawing board - but we all know it'll take years before a new generation model will appear, even with the Chinese parent's huge pile of cash for speedy research and development. At that speed, you might miss the downforce the rear wing was providing. Now the vehicle weighs 1248 pounds, and its ratio of power to weight reached 345 a ton of force.

Also remaining the same is the output of the Edelbrock supercharged 3.5-litre V6 at 321kW and 440Nm, though the 6-speed auto cops an extra 10Nm over the 6-speed manual.

This means the Lotus Evora GT430 Sport scores 258kW per tonne. It cranks out 436 PS at 7000 rpm and 440 Nm (450 Nm with the automatic) of torque at 4500 rpm.

Both Evora GT430 models are available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.

The maximum speed is 315 kilometers per hour. In addition, the chassis of the GT430 Sport has Ohlins TTX two-way adjustable dampers and ventilated disc brakes with AP Racing four-piston calipers on all corners. Packing either the standard manual or automatic, the GT430 Sport is catering to a wider array of customers, with the GT 430 only offered with a manual.

"With the Evora GT430 Sport, we have responded to this demand to add to the whole range of thoroughbred Lotus cars that are great on the track as well as supremely capable on the road".
