Volkswagen to reveal 'a further developed version' of ID Crozz at Frankfurt”

More information on the Volkswagen I.D Crozz1 concept will be revealed when it is fully unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show next Tuesday.

Volkswagen is advancing the development of a new generation of innovative electric vehicles and will be presenting a further developed version of the I.D.

The German brand first displayed the high-riding, four-door concept auto earlier this year at the Shanghai motor show, the third in a series of its I.D electric cars created to showcase the breadth of its future EV range. The front bumper also seems to be reworked.

The redesigned concept vehicle is based on the all-electric architecture and is characterised by a clean, powerful design.

Inside, the original concept's lounge-style interior carries over thanks to the flat floor that's created by cleverly packaging the lithium ion battery cells.

Based on the Volkswagen Group's new MEB platform, back in April engineers promised the Crozz would come with a neat optimum 48/52 front/rear weight distribution that could provide for "GTI-like handling" - that's if you choose to drive at all.

No powertrain details are available yet. However, the crossover is expected to be powered by a pair of electric motors - a 75 kW unit up front, and a 150 kW set-up at the rear. Crozz Concept at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show. So, stay tuned for an exclusive coverage of the German motor show.
