Conor McGregor being sued for hitting man in the face with can”

Conor McGregor is facing a lawsuit brought against him by a security guard who he injured at a press conference. The Blast reported that Pegg is claiming he sustained just below $5,000 in medical bills due to the injury incurred.

During the pre-fight press conference for the event in August 2016, McGregor and Diaz got into a kerfuffle, and they started throwing objects at the MGM Grand's David Copperfield Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Okamoto, Diaz took exception to McGregor's tardiness for the press conference and walked out shortly after he arrived.

Now, according to The Blast, a security guard called William Pegg is suing the MMA star after saying he was hit by the can and had to undergo medical treatment as a result.

In his lawsuit, Pegg claims he was hit in the back by the can, near his left shoulder.

The way in which he came up with this figure is fascinating. Diaz was fined $15,000 and given 15 hours of community service for his role in the incident.

He claims McGregor made $15 million for his fight at UFC 202 with Diaz and that McGregor "significantly" struck Diaz 166 time during the bout.

So, Pegg has gotten out his calculator and divided $15,000,000 by 166 as he believes he should get the same amount as McGregor earned for each punch landed during the fight.

Either way, after the money he pocketed from last month's fight against Mayweather, I'm sure McGregor isn't losing too much sleep over the whole thing.

Sure he's now lapping it up on a yacht in Ibiza.

McGregor's lawyers have filed a response denying any responsibility.
