Rawls is questionable for Seahawks' season opener

Rawls is questionable for Seahawks' season opener”

Fantasy Impact: The reports out of Seattle suggest that Thomas Rawls is not a big part of the Seahawks game plan going into Green Bay this week.

New Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy may feel pretty comfortable in Seattle's season opener today versus the Green Bay Packers on the road. Rawls was listed as a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He practiced without limitation this week and was considered a game-time decision.

"It was just a high ankle sprain that just lingered, " Carroll said of the injury Rawls suffered in the exhibition opener against the Chargers. "We're trying to get him back and we'll see how it goes". "So we have to make that determination".

Seattle's other inactive players: RB J.D. McKissic, S Tedric Thompson, S Delano Hill (shoulder), LB Michael Wilhoite (calf), G Jordan Roos and T Isaiah Battle.

One of those, cornerback Richard Sherman, sat out Friday due to a thigh issue that crept up this week. "That'll go all the way up to game day", Carroll said. Carroll brushed off the questionable tag.

"Really excited about that, " Carroll said. I am really excited about him fitting in with our guys. "But we have to put him on the report for that".

"Tyler's ready to go", Carroll said.

Defensive end Frank Clark (wrist) also got an optimistic review from Carroll on Friday.

Carroll also said that defensive tackle Jarran Reed (shoulder) was ready to play on Sunday. Jeremy [Lane] has really had just a tremendous offseason. "Really excited about that, he's had a great preparation, and really excited for him". "Honestly, I've been thinking about that for the past two days", Lacy said this week.
