Man shot dead in Clondalkin, Dublin, attack”

A man aged 36 has died after a shooting incident which occurred in Clondalkin, Dublin shortly before 10pm last night.

It is believed the man received at least five gunshot wounds in the incident, which happened on Wheatfield Avenue in Neilstown.

The Gardaí responded to a call about the shooting at 9.40pm.

The victim who lived in the area with his partner and two children was on bail for firearms offences at the time.

It is understood the man who was known to Gardaí and now bail for gun offences died at the scene of the incident which happened at Wheatfield Avenue in Clondalkin at approximately 9.30pm.

He was known to gardaí and had spent time in prison.

Gardaí are searching for witnesses to the attack.
