Padmavati: Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer release postponed

Padmavati: Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer release postponed”

This year, we have seen big movies like Kaabil-Raees locking horns at the box office.

Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma are set for a clash due to their movies - Padmavati and Pari. The movie was earlier scheduled for release in November. A source revealed that the makers have rescheduled the release in February 2018.

The film reportedly based on one of the most captivating parts of Indian history will release in February next year, a DNA report suggests.

However, if Padmavati does indeed get delayed and pushed to February 2018, it will affect another big film - Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0. Bhansali has not been able to complete the shooting due to several protests against the movie. While Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in "Goliyon ki Rasleela, Ram-Leela", and "Bajirao Mastaani". There have been other versions of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali burning the candle at both ends to finish the film on time for a November 17 release. The workers' strike took away a few important days.

"A lot of the shoot is still left". Ranveer Singh's portion as a young Alauddin Khilji, too, remains to be shot. In the movie, Deepika Padukone will be portraying the role of a Rani Padmini, where Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing her on-screen husband and Ranveer Singh will be portraying the role of an Alauddin Khilji.

Shahid Kapoor has put out the first official line out on the release of Padmavati albeit in a cryptic format.
